Clear Trophy tips required

I need some suggestions.

I might need to shoot a Clear, probably acrylic.
There is a tint of green in it. The lettering is White.
The trophy is all from the same material, even the small pedestal.

I have seen a few pictures of clear with white letters, all with Black/Blue/dark background, or on satin/velvet drapes.

Dimention (approx)
In a diamond shape.
The main part is
Height: 8 inches
Width: 8 Inches
Thickness: 3/4 inches
How can I make this look good !!!
Quite frankly it is not that great. :(

It looks similar to this one below...I found this on the web, I think the picture is very bad, the text is not sticking out.

but I would think a darker background (something that would not take away from the green hue) would help the lettering stand out. Also, in post processing shot in RAW, the linear adjustment may help with this. The shot posted here demonstrates the lack of proper lighting for the letters as the angle is more top right...with that background the detail is lost. The background is also graduated from white to green and the lettering detail falls on the white. I have a similar crystal award from a company with a green cast. I should pull this off the shelf and try some things as you've got my curiosity.

These are the thoughts that come to mind but suspect a bit of experimeting will provide the desired results.
