I did a search, and couldn't find any reference to it, but is there anyway to find out the number of thumbs up a photo has been given? The reason I'm interested is that I had one photo which was fairly highly rated, and then it disappeared off my popular pics - so I assume it got a bunch of thumbs down.

Is there an easy way to see if one of our photos made it into Smugmug's Popular Photo Today list ( 1000 pics with the highest ratings for the day)

Sometimes I see a pic has obviously received thumbs up and I wonder if it made the cut...

I'm using my popular photos gallery as the basis for my homepage slideshow. Is there a way to remove photos that people add which I decide I don't want there?

I can't seem to see the place to manage my popular photos - no gallery tools.

Thanks for your help!Sorry, there is no management tool for that. You can rotate a photo, say, right, then left. It will then have a PhotoRank of 0.

I did that to a couple of my pictures but they still show up in my popular gallery, first as photos rotated to the right, then rotated normally to the left. I even tried flipping the photos.

This are photos I can't reset the photorank to zero:

What are my other options besides replacing the photo?

i noticed this too, some photos that have been there since i started and which people like, and then i'll upload some more and a couple crap pics somehow make it really high on the "popular" page.

personally, i'm not a big fan of rankings based on an action, i'd prefer a popular page that was based on actual views, it's passive in that the user was obviously interested enough to click it, i don't want to bug them for a thumbs up too.

is this do-able?

Now that would be great. Along with the other info below a photo it would say "This photo has been viewed ___ # of times :thumb I like the thumbs up and rankings cause their cool but knowing how many times it's been viewed would tell oh so much.

If ya think about it, in Smugmug view every page switch the first photo is
shown in large on right. Clicking each thumb shows large photo change so
these would be counted as views. But what about the first photo, it is rarely
clicked to show large unless clicked. So the first photo would hardly ever
register a view.

Make any sense?
