Shots taken with my Canon Rebel XTi and EF 35mm f/2.0 lens, reversed on the body. These spiders look huge, but they are about 1/8" long!!!

Crab Spider? I like those little guys. Neat to watch. How did you get him to sit still long enough? Amazinly close! Nice work!:thumb

The first one wasnt very cooperative. He let me get three photos, then took off on me. I the other guy was a little better, but I ended up corralling him a bunch with a twig.
I believe both of them are a vatiety of jumping spider.

I believe the one with more of the photos is a "Marpissa muscosa"

How far away from the spider were you?

The 35mm lens focus's around 4" from the subject. The DOF is impossibly thin wide open, but is manageble at f/8 or so
