I'll apologize in advance for this one. It's not the best of captures but...
the Clapper Rail is on the endangered species list. According to the signage
at Lucy Evans Wildlife Preserve, the population numbers somewhere in the
1500 range.
The image, while not the best, is representative of where the 'rail lives. In
the marshes. I'll definetly work towards a better capture.
