I got a new (used) lens this week. So I did what I normally do, go to
familiar places and take a bunch of pics.

The Mighty Mississippi River.
Here are 2 pics checking the range 75 to 300

Next up, The Conservatory.
It's Christmas time, so nothing but poinsettias.

I should note that all of these pictures were taken at a wide open aperture.

From the Conservatory, I when to the Zoo.

The pictures from the primate house were taken at 800 or 1600 ISO.
No noise reduction software has been applied.

This one was at 1/2 second shutter speed.

This one I call Who's watching Who.

On to the Cat House.

(the lion pics were at 800 ISO)

In this one, when the kids walked up to the glass, the lion began to roar.
It shook the glass and really the whole building.

Then we have the tiger walking around outside (15 degrees -10 windchill)

So after all this I went home loaded the 150 or pics on the computer to
find that very few came out poorly. The lens is a keeper.

One last pic of a sparrow in a tree in our yard.
Thanks for looking.
