Over the past 24 hours I get intermittent functionality with the upload "green smuggy"
sometimes it works fine, but about 80% of the time I click on "add photos" in a gallery, I get a blank, black page with smugmug header and footer only.
Where is the thread that announces outages to pro users?

Hi, Uploading is not down. I suspect you have something on your end that is blocking access to our upload servers, or that your internet connection is having packet loss.
1) are you running any firewall, adblocker, antivirus, or other security software that can block access to smugmug? What are your security settings on IE6? They should be at "medium."
Did you approve the green smuggy application? One way to start over, is to go to, in IE6, tools>options and delete your cookies. Then close and reopen IE6, and try again, being sure to approve the application.

2) can you please go to www.dslreports.com and register (it's free) then do the "line quality" test under "Tools" and share the results with us?
3) have you tried uploading with a different browser, you could try the excellent Firefox browser, free from www.mozilla.com
Let us know.
