I know, I know, I work at SmugMug you'd think I would know all the answers but, let's just keep it a secret that I don't :D

So I am trying to woo over a large newspaper conglomerate by showing them that they could put RSS feeds from one of their sites (photos.yumasun.com) most popular, most recent, or keyword to their main homepage, yumasun.com

I would love it if someone could hold my hand for a few minutes and teach me how to teach others this trick?

Thanks,
Markham

First you need the feed address from one of the galleries (including the most popular gallery, dates gallery, or keyword gallery, or whatever). That's easy enough, just click on the available feeds at the bottom and then if you're using firefox just right click on either of the feed links (it doesn't matter if it's rss or atom really) and then click on "copy link location" from the pop up menu.

Now go to www.feedburner.com and paste that url into the big old input box right there in the middle of the page and click next. On the next page you can give your feed a name (or more precisely change the default name if you want) and then click "activate feed".

On the next page click on the "skip directly to feed management" link. Click on the publicize tab at the top and then click on the buzz boost link on the left. Select the various options in the buzz boost that you want but make sure that under display item content that "full HTML" is selected. Once you're done click activate.

Feed burner will give you the code to use and a preview of what the result will look like. They also have a guide on how to style it to suit your needs. If the larger newspaper conglomerates need to have their own branding with no feedburner branding at all, feedburner allows this but I think it may require a pay service. At any rate, I don't think the feedburner branding is extensive at all.

If you need more help, let me know.

I knew you would come through Mike. :bow These steps are very clear.

I am working with them right now and will get back questions shortly.
