Hello All,
When Andy and I were shooting at the beach yesterday afternoon, we saw a big hawk circle and then land in the treetops. I attached the Bigma and Andy put on the 70-200mm and we stalked him. It sort of reminded me of "Frank Buck - Bring em back alive"..... :lol3
He/she seemed pretty bored with us...lol

I asked Andy to climb the tree to scare the hawk into flying, but he was all worn out from his earlier attempt to leap the Mighty Mississippi. Plus his sneakers were wet :lol

Hey Steve,
Good shot of that hawk. I can't belive Andy wouldn't climb the tree for a flight shot. I would have loved to have seen a picture of Andy doing that. That is what i would call a Kodak moment.

Great Shot Steve, they are awesome birds. Don't feel too bad about it not flying, usually they fly AWAY from you :D I have far too many shots of the south end of a northbound hawk
Looks like this one might have a band on it's leg.

IanThank you Ian :-)
Andy is sort of correct. I was shooting at 500mms too, but this one happened to be shot at 363mm's.
