Hmmm. this is a tricky one! Getting a willing subject is difficult!.
Do portrait subjects have to be looking at the camera for it to be considered a 'portrait'?
This is my mum and my daughter:

I really like the one of your Mum alone, Kate. The way she's looking down is nice. Also the one with your daughter grabbing the camera is interesting. I don't think they need to be looking at the camera for it to be a portrait.

My favorite is the one of your mum. Very nice capture here. A portriat is simply a photograph or painting of a person. There is no rule that the person needs to be looking at you. I think that quite often more emotion is portrayed when the subject isn't looking...but that's just my opinion!:D

I have to agree, the one of your mom stands out.

The shot of your Mum looking down is the best. The one of her with your daughter, the second one, would have been great if not for the reflection in her glasses. Why don't you try one of your Mum reading a story to your daughter? That would really be a keeper.
