View Full Version : Little scorpion stackers

Found a living, two-inch scorpion in my bedroom this morning. Threw it in the freezer, thawed it in the fridge, and got busy.

I've been characterizing the CombineZM stacking software. Sometimes, the images don't quite turn out as expected--those tend to come out looking somewhat "posterized". With those, I do three other runs:

Odd frames
Even frames
Middle two-thirds (give or take)...and pick the best-looking one.

So here's a series on various portions of this scorpion's body.

Ouch that looks like it would be nasty if it came in contract with your skin.
Your really improving with your stacking technique I must say :clap

We get Scorpions down where I live too, but I personally have never seen one, friends that live in the same area have caught several inside their house.

Scorpions are air-cooled. Those are fins.

Yeah, I question the cooling fins answer myself. Why have them underneath--where they're nearest the HOT ground?
