Hi all

I've been trying to use the Java based uploader tonight and its driving me nuts :help:crazy:duel:bash :huh. Trying to uplaod even a single image can take upto 3 attempts - just constant time out connection resets and I've basically given up on it today.

is there an issue with uploading files today - it was this bad a couple of weeks ago after the server upgrades.

Cheers

Harj

OK Next step is to dig further-- what's changed since your last successful uploads? What browser and version are you using, and what Operating System?

No joy....

ARGH!

Under ur Windows Control Panel, there should be a java icon.

Double-click it and find the option to delete cache files, try that and see how you go.

Cheers,

David

Nothing that I can think of.

Browser is Firefox, whatever the latest version is....

OS is 10.4 MacPro....

Come to think of it, I did download and install an Apple OS update, but that is all.

AHA :D
FF needs a special Java Plugin: http://www.smugmug.com/help/problems

In the meantime, use Safari and let us know :thumb

Stange thing.... I was able to use FF today, and I did not change anything. I guess I'll blame it on the moon!

That darn Moon fixes lots of things :lol3 :lol3

Seriously, you might be surprised by how often problems like yours appear suddenly and just disappear for no apparent reason :dunno If you weren't using a MAC, I'd blame it on Bill Gates :lol
