They opened the zoo early to members last weekend, so we got there around 8:30 hoping to see the snow leopards awake.

Success! But they stayed close to the cage, so it was impossible to get some isolation. The cubs were literally climbing the walls! The were a lot of fun to watch.

The chimps were particularly vocal. But I really liked this old man.

The Neubian Ibexes were executing a very slow speed horn entanglement fight. But then...

I'm tired of this, Go away!!!

The zebras were in a posing mood.

This one's a bit soft, but I loved the Tawyny Frogmouth!!

We finished up with the baby Giraffe, only 1-month old and over 6 ft tall.

That Zebra shot is mesmerizing!:wow

Thanks, Ric. It's funny, I've taken hundreds (or almost) shots of zebras, and when I first looked at this one, it didn't grab me... when I converted it to B&W it really popped!

As others have said the zebra shot is really good. The B&W works so well that if I look at it for too long, the stripes start to move! :D
