I had a lot of fun photographing hundreds of woodies this past Saturday in Encinitas, California. I didn't count them, but they were expecting around 300 cars.

This was my first time photographing cars. I hope you like how the images turned out. I just completed sorting through all of the images. Here are a few of my favorites and the rest can be viewed in the gallery at http://gallery.primarycolors.com/gallery/1904550

Enjoy!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they have a car like the last shot in The Flying Nun TV Show ??? ..... how old are you Skip ??? :rolleyes

The paint jobs on those cars are amazing, so much time and effort must go into keeping them in mint condition.

Great Series :clap ...... Skippy (Australia)

Thanks Skippy.

The wood is extremely polished as well. I was constantly adjusting my polarizer to cut the glare, except of course when I wanted a shot of another woodie's reflection.

The wood on 99% of these cars is structural making up the doors, walls and roof of the car. Some still have their original wood and vary from okay condition to wow! Many others are restorations. Several of these cars were for sale with an asking price of $175,000 each.
