I never really posted here before, I always lerked in the distance... I figured it was about time I join in a little. Here are the results from my very first beach shoot.

Stunning model and great captures. Especially like the lighting. You nailed it.
Only thing that bothers me is the way the top of her head and top of her shoulder are right at the horizon line in #1 and #2.
#3 is indeed the best and worthy of SI swimsuit issue.:thumb

Number three is almost surreal. Love, love, love the lighting. The model is pretty hot too.

Very good shots. Reminds me of another photographer I know from the dpreview.com forums...I think you would appreciate his work. Man what I would give to live near a beach scene like that. Great JOB!
I am including Chris Hartman's info, maybe you two could swap advice...

He makes a pretty good living from shooting photos just like these.

Lovely model and setting. And I like the quality of light on her, but not the amount.
For my taste, a little underexposed.

Thats the Jersey Shore, not Hawaii! :) These were taken in SeaSide Heights New Jersey about a month ago. The models name is Stormy, yes that is her real name. She was fabulous to work with and a great person to.
Thanks for all the great comments, much appreciated... It really builds my confidence since I have only been shooting for 10 months.

did you use the gold reflector in number 3? The shot is fab and I love the sunset in it, very nice.

did you use the gold reflector in number 3? The shot is fab and I love the sunset in it, very nice.If I were a bettin' man (and I'm not 'cause I am so often wrong), I would bet he used a gold (or orange) reflector on all three of them and did a very nice job of it in all cases!
