It's not fair!! My world is falling apart...... well, my computer anyways.

I bought a new one in May and just now my monitor has decided to change colour - its gone bright yellow on me! I can still see what I'm doing - but everythings a funny colour. And you guessed it - that means there'll be no photo editing or viewing for me till it gets fixed.... :cry

Thank the gods its still under warranty.... but meanwhile, I'll have to jealously watch you all make photographic masterpieces without me.

Frightening opening to your post :eek1 . Hey it's only the computer!

But if you're seeing too much yellow and you deal with it in post processing we will see more cyan (I think...) - could be cool!

I have had the same problem for the past 3 or 4 months & just taped a red sheet of cellophane over it to counter the effect...it gets me by.

Really? Hmm.... :scratch Might try this.....
Since my last post the monitor has actually changed colours again several times, from yellow to green, to blue, to pink and back to normal again. Does anyone know how to tell if this is the monitor or the graphics card? Might help with talking to the warranty people if I know what the problem is straight out.

Hope this works

My bet is on the card or the cable. Did you check to make sure the cable is attached securely at both ends?

Assuming you have a CRT, generally, when a gun goes out, it stays out.

Do the warranty thing.

Twas the monitor..... they had to take it to get fixed. I've got a loan monitor but its old, smaller and... the colours don't look quite right. I made the adjustments as best I could in Adobe Gamma but everything still looks a little darker than usual..... oh well, its better than fluro yellow I suppose. I'll make do.....
