According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity), Synchronicity, plainly put, is the experience of having two (or more) things happen coincidentally in a manner that is meaningful to the person or persons experiencing them, where that meaning suggests an underlying pattern.
Huh???

Main Entry: syn·chro·nic·i·ty http://www.webster.com/images/audio.gif (http://javascript%3Cb%3E%3C/b%3E:popWin%28%27/cgi-bin/audio.pl?synchr09.wav=synchronicity%27%29)
Pronunciation: "si[ng]-kr&-'ni-s&-tE, "sin-
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -ties
1 : the quality or fact of being synchronous (http://www.webster.com/dictionary/synchronous)
2 : the coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality -- used especially in the psychology of C. G. Jung
With one breath, with one flow
You will know
Synchronicity
A sleep trance, a dream dance,
A shared romance,
Synchronicity
A connecting principle,
Linked to the invisible
Almost imperceptible
Something inexpressible.
Science insusceptible
Logic so inflexible
Causally connectible
Yet nothing is invincible.
If we share this nightmare
Then we can dream
Spiritus mundi.
If you act, as you think,
The missing link,
Synchronicity.
We know you, they know me
Extrasensory
Synchronicity.
A star fall, a phone call,
It joins all,
Synchronicity.
It's so deep, it's so wide
Your inside
Synchronicity.
Effect without a cause
Sub-atomic laws, scientific pause

Nick I hope you are showing your age (or mine) here........
Clue #1: see Andy's pic
Clue #2: do a google search and pick the first link that has anything to do with music.

Andy (or anyone), could you post a couple more photos that exemplify "Synchronicity"? My poor old befuddled brain just doesn't "get it" that well...are we looking for things that are connected or bonded together in an odd or mystical or spiritual sort of way, like the guitarist and his guitar, or a serendipitous sort of way, like someone standing next to a statue and they happen to have a very similar pose or someone posing with a pet and they look alike? Need more data, info, examples please!

Don't get hung up on the definition - broad interpretation is encouraged, and I noted that in the rules :D

So is it synchronicity that my nephew loved his Nemo costume so much he was making Nemo faces without even knowing who Nemo is? (Check out the matching expressions!) Too bad I was too close to get his other hand in........

so synchronicity requires serendipity?
I was thinking about a dance routine myself, or perhaps the flashing of the legs of horses/dogs in a race, or a drumline. Or soldiers. Since I won't be able to see any of those things in the next few weeks (probably), I just float those ideas to people who might.

Would this be considered synchronicity?
http://nee.smugmug.com/photos/87674351-M.jpg
Or is it too serendipitus? :D
Or... would this fit a little closer to the concept? (I'm trying to think of things being in synch in an almost mystical, divinely appointed sort of way...and suggestive of a pattern, whew! That's a big bill to fill~)

In my opinion the second one is better for the subject.
How about that one?
By the way, can somebody, please, tell me what did I take picture of?

I found some of this on the Internet
Synchronicities There are no accidents - just synchroncity wheels - the gears of time - the wheels of time - the wheel of karma (http://www.crystalinks.com/12around1.html) - wheels within wheels - the alchemy of creation - the Philosopher's Stone - Sacred Geometry (http://www.crystalinks.com/sg.html)=SG=StarGate - evolution of consciousness.
You must look at the bigger picture of the synchronicty - think outside the box - not at the actual event. Look at the underlying facts when the synchronicity occurs to be sure you know why you attracted that person/ situation/object into your life.
Perhaps when one looks at an object or a device one may see within that device a larger picture of what it could represent.
The Philosopher's Stone for instance:
What is the Philosophers Stone ? What could it represent ?
"The stone, also referred to as the "tincture," or the "powder" (Greek xerion, which passed through Latin into Arabic as elixir), was allied to an elixir of life, believed by alchemists to be a liquid derived from it. Inasmuch as alchemy was concerned not only with the search for a method of upgrading less valuable metals but also of perfecting the human soul, the philosopher's stone was thought to cure illnesses, prolong life, and bring about spiritual revitalization. The philosopher's stone, described variously, was sometimes said to be a common substance, found everywhere but unrecognized and unappreciated.
A common substance ?? Found everywhere ?? Unreconized and unappreciated ?
What else could be represented by the Philosophers Stone -- Think outside of the box.
