Hi,

I am thinking of joining Smugmug to store and archive my photos. I think the Power level account will suffice, but if it does not can I upgrade to Pro at a reduced or pro-rated rate or do I have to pay the full 149 to move to Pro from Power. I couldn't find the answer in the FAQs.

Also, does anyone know if there is a comparison chart of the different membership levels?

Finally, does Power have any protection features or is that only found in Pro? Like disabling access to originals, buying prints, etc?

Thanks in advance! I can't wait to get started organizing years of pics :)

:wave hi and welcome to SmugMug!

Yep, if you upgrade after starting as Power, you're money spent is credited towards the Pro fee, and then the remainder is prorated.

Try here: www.smugmug.com/price

No, those are pro features:

I hope this helps! Thanks for trying SmugMug :D

Contrary to what Andy (usually he's right :thumb I guess he misread your question or maybe I did) said you can disable access to originals and decide if someone can buy prints or not on any account level. Setting the price for prints to gain a profit is PRO only though. Also PROs can addtitionally disable access to large images, add watermarks and enable smugmug's right-click protection, which you can't do on the other account levels.

Hope this helps,
Sebastian
