I've always liked this photo but have always felt it has room for improvement as well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

This photo works for me at a quick glance on an emotional level. I simply want to be there. I can feel the sun, smell the air and hear the silent water. Bora Bora?

Now...

Either the framing or the crop suffer in the lower right corner. Looks like a glass or a bucket (yellow) has snuck in. Should be easy enough to clone out.

There's also an odd white line on the very edge of the upper right corner, again a simple thing to clone out.

Not so simple is the that it'd be nice to have the full shadow of the lounge chair as well as the edge of the palm tree in the frame (I suggest you book another trip ASAP and reshoot :D).

I'm seeing a slight pixelation in the sky as it gets darker towards the upper left. I'm not smart enough to know what that's from.

Thanks for the comments. I've looked at that picture many times and have not noticed the glass. The white line must be left over from where I straightened the horizon. Unfortunately I don't have the shot with the palm tree fully in the frame or the full shadow. Good suggestions and I just might need to go back and try again.

To answer your first question, the picture was taken in the Cook Islands.

Any other suggestions out there?

I think it's a great composition, great lighting and texture. On my monitor I don't see pixelization (a new word?) on the upper left. I see the rays of the sun with clouds there. I personally think it's a great shot all the way around. Good shadows from the chase lounge, good color of the sand and I love the water. Some help I am huh?

Nice shot.
I like the fact that part of the palm tree is cropped out.
The only thing I would really want to see is the full shadow of the chair/model.
Ntt sure how that would look though. You might post that and I would say crop it....
Good shot regardless.
