Wow look at the ears on that jack-rabbit!!! Nice assortment...what kind of birds are those, they are beautiful! My monitor is very dark (at work) so I can't see the detail too well. :wxwax

The fawn is an amazing shot. :thumb
Great setting, composition and exposure.
Most importantly, it makes me wish I was there.

great shots, but didn't you find any jackalope? I thought they were present in large numbers in that neck of the woods:D
PS - our high desert doesn't look any where near that green (at least right now). Were these recent shots or from last spring/winter?

Beautiful series Tom, well done.
I like the 3th the most although I'm not in favor of the composition (but that have something to do with taste)
Thanks for sharing.
Dick.

Thanks for the positive comments folks:):
Saurora - I have no clue what they are - I am not a birder. There was a flock of 100 or so flying right over me. They are high contrast B/W mostly, but with the backlighting not much detail even after adjustments. Maybe one of the many excellent bird shooters can fill us in on that. Here is an adjusted blow-up.

And here is one bird we can all ID:rofl

Froggy - the jackalopes are very elusive this time of year. The entire state of NM has turned from brown to green in the last 6 weeks. It has rained almost every day. From drought to floods. But beautiful color everywhere.
The roadrunner, coyotes, and jackrabbit were all shot on a preserve surrounded by the city of Albuquerque. - the campus of Albuquerque Academy. The fawn and birds were taken near Aztec NM.

Nice shots. I believe the bird is a Black-billed Magpie.
