Speaking of the 17-40/4L, how does it compare to the 16-35/2.8L? The focal ranges are nearly identical. One just happens to be one stop faster, and more pricey. How do they compare image-wise?

I've got a 17-40, and while it's a very nice lens, mine could be a bit sharper (and one stop faster). I haven't really tried it out with the 20D yet...this opinion is based on it's performance with a 10D.

Very cool review. Thanks. I guess it depends on whether you need the extra stop enough to pay nearly 2X the price.
