I like on the 1.st one the shallow depth of field and the tilted vision, while the colors are nice.:):
The 2.ed one has the same qualities but with much different contrasted colours.:):

Come on Ric, is there something you can't do?
Nice captured.
Thanks for sharing.

I tell ya, Dick. Ever since I bought that 300 f/4 L lens my imagination and vision has completely changed. While waiting for wildlife (getting bored) you can use this lens as a sort of macro for closeups from 5 to 10 feet away. It has a focus limiter switch that you have to remember to change when you go from one to the other, but, that becomes second nature.
Thanks for your kind comments.:D

Thanks, Antonio. :D
The first one is almost full frame...just slightly cropped to get the 4 to 3 ratio. It came out much like I hoped.
Now, I am dissappointed (not really) that you didn't notice the hole in the leaf on the second shot. I could have easily chosen a different subject, but, I felt the hole added a element of interest.

Don't be desapointed. I have noticed the hole in the leaf but I didn't comment because it was not important. I noticed the hole when I was watching the DOF... :):
