Writing standard IPTC keywords

I have searched on D.Grin for IPTC threads and people suggest a wikipedia site.

As far as I know, There is no specific terminology. Just use clear and mere words : if you have a picture with family whose a girl is blond, in front of his car, next to their house, some of the words you'll write will be: house, home, car, vehicle, father, mother, dad, mom, man, woman, girl, blond, blond-haired, hair, etc. !

When I am doubtful, I use a synonym in addition to what I've already written. Being french, I've got "rules": in iView Media Pro, every one word of my word lists is translated in english. :thumb

Do a search for "controlled vocabulary". There are indeed libraries of keywords available, but at a cost.

You should be able to access Wiki through an anonymous proxy, even from China.
