If I use background-position: bottom right; is there a way to pad it a little so its not sitting completely on the bottom?
Andy, how did you get your slide show to fade in and out with IE. Mine does it in Firefox, but not IE

My fade doesnt work in IE. Only firefox. I noticed that a few other sites with the slide slow have the problem to. Check out mikelane.smugmug.com, the slide show in IE doesnt fade.
My slide show is a mess in IE. I set the fristslideurl and firefox works like a champ. IE is sucking

I'd say the best way to do this is to build in padding around your image. So if you're using a transparent gif build in a transparent buffer around the image. If you've got a solid background you can build in a buffer around the image that is the same color as the background.
Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this with the CSS background-position property.
