Swell

We were in Scotland this summer, and decided to go to Staffa. A little island in the atlantic ocean. The ships captain told us there was a little swell, and me, with the north sea in mind thought we could handle that.
The little swell was huge though, I forgot that we were talking about the OCEAN...
Anyway, I was sick as a dog, make that two dogs. But snapped this shot, and so far I won 4 prices with it. One being the public vote in the AOP Open 2004 in London.
(Good for an iPod and a place in the gallerie for two months).
Hec, every price I win with this one is deserved, I did feed the fish that day... mumbling to the other passengers that I was fine, that I was looking at jellyfish... Lame, I know. :huh

:rofl Great story. It's amazing how poorly high seas translate into still photos and video. The media seem to flatten out the waves and rob the images of their danger. Yours does a nice job of show the water above the gunwale (did I get that right?)

We were in Northumbria in Octobre. Four days filled with nice shots.
We will go back to Scotland too. Ireland is on my to do list.

It's my favourite way of displaying my photos, just a slight white border, a bit larger black border with room to write something under the photo.
