I found a real nice one for $150 that has timers lights up lcd display... and so on.. but it's 2.6 feet long from the camera and a good chunk of change... I found a thing on how to make one your self... Does any one recumend a timer remote switch and were to get or make one your self?:dunno

I use this (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=164276&is=REG) one which is much cheaper. Luben was making good use of the extra features (in bulb) on his the other night though! Got me thinking about upgrading :D .
I'm pretty sure they do extension cables too if 2.6ft isn't long enough.

I'm not sure about making one your self. Personally I wouldn't (couldn't :rofl) I'd never have the confidence in it that I would in a canon item. If I lost a shot because of it I'd be :splat.
The extra cost, in my mind, is worth it!

This timer look really nice.. I found it here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009XVA3/ref=pd_sxp_elt_l1/002-8052837-1342463) for a cheaper price. But the DIY version is found here (http://www.camerahacker.com/Canon/N3_Pinout.html).
