I inadvertently posted this in the wrong section. So I will go ahead and post it here.
These chicks grow up a quickly. Less than a week ago, this little guy was waiting for food.

A few days later, I captured this guy just about a day before it flew the coup. Is this a sparrow or mockingbird? I really don't know. I'm not a birder.

Nice shots!
(I think they are more along the lines of a sparrow. Plus if it was a mockingbird you would have about 3000 holes in the top of your head by the time you were done, vicious little polyglots! :rofl)
Wonderful series.
I like your sharp focus on the heads

Are mockingbirds those birds that are always dive-bombing me? If so, I now know which ones they are. :rofl

I was so close, my poor af wouldn't focus. It just kept searching. I actually had to pull back. Still the exif data it was 40mm, so I about on top of them. I suppose it is time to invest in a macro lens. :wink

Excellent set. :clap
Thanks. Most of the shots of these just didn't turn out. Either there were leaves in the way, fbad focus, or not enough light. I got lucky with these two.

Thanks. I am starting to think that this is a sparrow or perhaps even a robin. :dunno
I really don't shoot birds too often. In fact the only other good shot I have of a bird is a killdeer. This picture is about two years old and it is from a old point and shoot I had, but it still turned out.

Yeah I saw your thread. I have a ton of killdeers around my area. Mine seem more well-fed. Yours is scrawny. :roflBut beautiful nonetheless. :thumb
