We took a little trip down to Victor Harbor (South Australia) on the weekend, about an hours drive from where we live. Thought we'ld take the kids to the beach and do some beach combing. To our surprise, there were two sets of Southern Right Whales having a ball just off the beach we stopped at (right near Port Elliot & Middleton for those who might know the area). It was 2 mums with there calves, so I thought I'ld share some of the shots .....

A bit of a belly roll .... (big blob on the left is mum, fins belong to the calf who is upside down ... )

We took a little trip down to Victor Harbor (South Australia) on the weekend, about an hours drive from where we live.

Wow I've never seen a Whale in the water, though our couries who do the Coastal runs often tell us they stopped to watch the whales.

They look so graceful, yet awkward because of their amazing size.
Glad you and your family got to watch them, I'm sure it was quite a treat.
Good for you :thumb thanks for sharing........... Skippy (Australia)
