Page jumps

I thought I could get through all the customisation without much help but I have searched for this with no luck!

When I click on any photo in my galleries, the page jumps up automatically and I have to scroll down. How do I stop this?

this is something that has been posted as a feature request before....but until something is done about it the best you can do is make your header shorter. it's kinda on the tall side.
