I think the thanks has to start with you. When I was looking for a site to host my photos back in April 2004, the standard offering was something with limited upload capacity, lots of banner advertising to subsidize the low, low cost (or free), and no ability to sell and set pricing on your photos.

Designing Smugmug took VISION. I don't recall how I heard about it (might have been mentioned in a magazine or something), but with one look I new it was right for me. Rich in features (even back then), a clean, professional look, and an affordable price. And it was basically unlimited!

The CSS customization has taken Smugmug to the next level. I never envisioned that someone with little programing skills could turn a smugmug site into something absolutely stunning! (well, mine isn't one of the stunning ones, but it sure looks pretty darn good to me!). With all the tutorials, a couple of support requests, and a little help from CSS for Dummies, I banished my old smugmug look forever.

The smugmug vision has attracted some of the best paid/unpaid support people around. It's the people that continue to make this site what it is. But the first thank you and congratulations for a job well done needs to start with you.
