Well...it's been a while since I last posted so I guess I can share my most recent adventures. I recently spent two weeks in the southern part of Africa. I flew into Johannesburg, South Africa, and went on safari throughout Botswana and Zambia.
It started at the Sandibe Safari Camp on the Moremi Game Reserve located on the Okavango Delta.

Next it was off to the Nxabega (meaning "Giraffe") Safari Camp where we were greeted by several Vervet monkeys who were interested in nothing but our food.

Africa is nothing but wildlife. If you're looking for good photo ops, go to Africa. They also have some beautiful sunsets.

Thirdly we were off to the Lebala Camp in the wetlands of Botswana where we saw larger numbers of animals in 2 days then we did anywhere else in the trip.

Lebala was also the place where I spent several hours in the presence of several wild african lions. One young lioness decided to hunt a few wildebeast while we were there.

Then it was off to Zambia where we visited the Livingstone area and stayed at the Zambezi Sun at Victoria Falls. We got to fly over the falls in a helicopter which my dad and I truly enjoyed.

We also did an Elephant Back Safari just outside of Victoria Falls.

Finally we ended our awesome excursion at the Chongwe River Camp just outside the Lower Zambezi National Park. There's nothing like sleeping to the sound of hippos grunting, hyenas calling and babboons screaming to make it all the better.

Gorge and waterfalls of the Lower Zambezi River. These are just a "trickle" of what is uaully there after the rains, then it looks like Niagra Falls.

Me canoeing along the Zambezi and Chongwe Rivers while playing "Dodge the Hippos" and where a 9' Nile Crocodile rolled 3 feet away from me. :huh :uhoh What a way to end a holiday.
