It started out as a color photo taken on a white background, then filters in photoshop to get the final effect. I used OptikVerv labs virtual photographer plugin on black and white shoebox setting to create a negitive image in black and white. Thats how I got a white shadow and the background turned black. Then I used some ambience filters to give it a slight glowing effect.
