Dick posted a link to a picture story about a dog he rescued, and I thought that might make a good topic for a thread. Not sure if maybe it belongs under another category, buy Dick's post was here.
A few years ago, we lost out Ridgeback, they don't call them Rhodesian any more, and we were pretty devastated. A few months later I went into the hospital for 15-days, and while I was in there my Wife and Daughter went to the pound and got a new dog. When I came home, my first thought was, "take that mangy mutt back to the pound." I didn't want anything to do with her, but she wouldn't leave my side for hours on end. We still have her, she sleeps on our bed, and now that my daughters are married and gone, she is my little girl. God help the person who purposely hurts her.
He's pointing that thing at me, and if I look at him it will flash and all I will be able to see is spots.

Guarding our mail. The mail is actually on a coffee table and she is stretched out between the table and my Wife's Lazy-boy.

She even tolerates my Grand-daughter.

Leave me alone, the couch is mine, and I have one of those funny bones.
