This is a neat fire and ice concept where the clouds, sun and sky came together to form a fire orange and ice blue look at the same time.

This was actually occuring at roughly the same time, the first picture was to the east, this picture was to the west.

Very cool.
Could use a bit of a horizon fix though.

Like the colors in the sky, but the water is running out of the picture...
I would like to see the horizon level, it would gain power for me then

What kind of fix did you have in mind. The horizon is straight in the picture, the land and lake itself is a bit hilly and misshapen. That's why it doesn't look perfectly straight. Also, to get the fire in the clouds, I shot at a fast shutter speed, which darkened the land portion of the shot enough that the details are a little deceiving.

But this sky reminds me a lot of Crisis on Infinite Earths...where the sky turned a sickish red for most of the storyline. Interestingly enough, they have some shots from the series in this month's Playboy (Can't deny Denise Richards) article on comicbooks.

I think personally if there is water in the picture (Lake or sea) that the water needs to be horizontally fixed. I am sure that your picture will gain power with the water made level.

I might rotate the whole thing right. Even after the explanation, it looks like
the lake is "flowing" left. But that might also be because the angles draw your
eye to the left?

Although the picture was actually straight, I had some playing room and rotated it a hair and cropped it to give it an even straighter appearance. I also brightened it a bit so you can see the opposite shoreline and surroundings a little better.

I was a little unsatisfied with my first version of this pic. It took me lots of variations and I still couldn't find what I want. But this version came out rather ominous looking, and appealed to my sense of impending doom.
