Yosemite - Tioga Pass

For those interested Tioga Pass through Yosemite opened on Saturday morning.

By Saturday afternoon I was on my way across it heading to the Eastern Sierras. We spent the weekend at Mono Lake and also spent some time at Bodie as well.

Here is one from near the top of the pass. It was a great Father's Day...

I missed it just by a hairsplit... Had to drive all the way around via Sonora Pass.. It's very nice and scenic, but it took forever...

Nice to see there's still lots of snow and ice there. I'm hoping to make the trip up there in the next week or so.

Simply beautiful shot - hard to believe there is still snow and ice as we sit here sweltering in TX. <sigh> One of these days I'll make it to that beautiful place.
