I mentioned in another thread how I particularly like taking shots of carburetors. A photo taken by zed at the Infineon vintage races tells me I'm not the only one. Anybody else have some good ones?

So, here's a few of my favorites that I have taken.

Bugatti Type 35 (this was actually my Christmas card last year):

Not quite a carb, but close. Last step for the induction through those giant ports. Head from a top fuel dragster.

As I wrote in my other posts I'm a total newbie (bought my first camera last Saturday so tomorrow I'll turn 1 week old as a photographer!) and I'm shooting as much stuff as possible to learn. Anyway, my father works with bikes so I have plenty around to practice on.
Here's my first attempt:

Got 5 minutes to throw out the window so decided to take a couple more shots.
Here's the first (sorry had to use attchment cause I don't want to upload these to Smug):

And here's #2:

Excellent shots everyone!

Judah, I really like that second shot. The composure, to me, looks brilliant.

I also like the Top Fuel dragster. For something that makes 5000+ hp (?) it seems awfully simple. I think my 1972 Mercedes is more complicated.

Here are a couple more:

McLaren F1 (not carburated but kind of neat):

Hi Douging,
thanks for your comment. The #2 is not my favourite maybe due to the overexposed feeling of it. I really like #3. Oh, anyway....
