I'm thinking about buying some Lens Cleaner plus some sort of wipe and I'd like to know what people are using. B&H lists several (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home;jsessionid=GHlwpFpTzJ%21-69511836?O=breadCrumb&A=search&Q=&ci=3316), and a Google search reveals others (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hs=0C7&hl=en&lr=lang_en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=camera+%22lens+cleaner%22&btnG=Search). (Search on dgrin yielded nothing specific that I could find).

I never like to touch my lens elements at all, so I usually don't. But somehow I got a smudge on my 17-85...

Any help appreciated! Thanks.

I use a microfiber cloth. I think any lens cleaner B&H markets as a lens cleaner (not that anti-fog junk) will be fine. I wouldn't get too worked up about it, myself.

Does your lens wince or try to escape when you breathe on it?

I ended up getting "Plasti-Kleen" for Camera, Optical Lenses, and LCDs from OfficeMax. Seems to work fine.

No but you bring up good point. Always brush and gargle 1st before addressing your lenses. :rofl
