Cartier-Bresson's original phrase was à la sauvette, which is more accurately translated into English as "on the fly." This shot certainly qualifies. Nice job :thumb

if i understand this right:dunno you shot this with your fly open and your eyes closed :scratch the book is coming out sooooon :huh timing it is all about timing lucky or the way we sometimes do it :rofl good one :thumb

Thank you Richard, I didn't know that. It makes the picture even more appropriate. After further research, I found that the most frequent translation is "on the run." And more research turned up its etymology which comes from the small cup you fit into your sink to catch your ring before it disappears forever down into the plumbing. It is meant to convey the instant of capture of an object in motion. The most current use of the phrase is in "vendeurs de billettes a la sauvette" to describe scalpers of tickets, once again "on the fly." It is also used for street sellers of watches. Thank you so much for your comment. I love it when something leads me to a whole different area of knowledge.
