Firstly thanks to everyone that contributes to the customiSation forum and also specially to Mike for the info thats been collected up on here, I'm finding it very useful.

Did my header on http://stuarthill.smugmug.com/ first thing ive done and it was pretty painless.

Im aiming for some basic changes and want to keep in line with the current theme as I like that.
What do you think of the banner though does it look and WORK ok for everyone?

next plan is to simplify the front page and have an entrance slideshow ive seen those around and they look good, and then a nav bar.

As you mentioned, a navbar would be great. I'm personally not a fan of the homepage slideshow-- but obviously a lot of people do like it.

I know what you mean im not 100% on it, what id ideally like is to be able to pull up say 4 random pics from my galleries each time the page loads, but not sure if thats possible!
