Ginger,

Geese coming home is a great shot! I like the crop. It helps define the
theme.

My daughter just e-mailed me that she loved the geese coming home shot. I did NOT put it into my Christmas Calendar, damn. And I don't have one I want to take out to put it in, damn.

I was thinking of making a Corgi (dog) calendar, and/or a family/people one.

Now I feel like I need to make one for the geese, lol. ??? I am a poor person, too. Maybe I could put three shots of the geese, stacked into one shot (rules of three), and put it into the present calendar, wait and take one out. Hate that thought.

I like the geese, too.

Hi Ginger,

Good shots all, I enjoyed them. The last shot doesn't look like a heron though. When the heron flies it tucks its neck into a compact S-shape.

Yes, it's neck is tucked. I have still shots, but one is blurred, actually neither looks completely in focus, such a disappointment. We were walking up and got what I could.

Did you all know that these birds are self camoflaged when on the ground? When I looked at the photos, the bird is the color of the folliage. Really good god color work, there. Even if the bird were in focus, I don't know how I could have made him stand out. I don't have one on smugmug, but I could bring it down to show you all..........later.

but the neck looks tucked to me. Great work at drawing Greaper. I am going to have to learn how to use the computer someday. I just ordered the Kelby CS book, has info in it that I need. I caught up to a copy at Barnes and Noble, to look at before ordering from Amazon.
