So I have an Alienbee B400 whose color temp is ~5600K. Since this is approximately the same an sunlight, should the white balance be set for "Sunny" or should it be left on the "Flash" setting. I realize many people would set a custom WB with an 18% grey card, but lets just assume that I don't have a grey card.

Use whatever works.
"Flash WB" is usually tuned to the on-board flash. I typically set the WB to sunny when using flash and fine tune in post if needed.

Thanks Shay. I have been using the sunny setting and just needed confirmation that that was the right thing to do.
