Nice set of shots Erich. That 2nd one is very interesting. I've not seen such a jellyfish. :scratch :thumb :thumb

Two beautiful shots Erich. The first may be a tad oversaturated but that's a minor quibble.

Very cool shots. The lighting is great.

The orange in the first is great. That blue one is here in the trillions...so thick at times that they affect shipping with blocking water intakes. They give a slight sting but nothing too bad. We just call them 'blubbers'

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Interesting to hear about the "blubbers" Gus. They are a Pacific menace. Luckily, I've never been stung but I've come close.

Cheers,

Erich

Blubbers are quite harmless...some people suffer more than others.
We throw these (http://www.aloha.com/~lifeguards/portugue.html) at each other for some fun at the beach...they give you a good touch-up. We also have these (http://www.barrierreefaustralia.com/text-only/box-jelly-fish-text-only.htm) up north in the summer & they have killed adults in 3 mins...not something to fool with. The Irukandji (http://www.australianfauna.com/irukandji.php) are around here & kill also .. for something 1" across they pack some thump.
