The very first time I shot a Heron it was during a fishing sequence. I was excited. What I didn't do was adjust the exposure bias to help with the bright sun and blowouts on the white parts of the bird.
The next time I knocked the EV down a few clicks and got better results.
I think you might find doing the same will give you even better shots.

Nice GBH series, BB.:thumb You never know what these birds are going to try and eat. I saw one (and shot it also) try and eat a black tip shark a fisherman had pulled in. :huh :wxwax :D

Thanks Benjamin Your right. I do very little pp work other than convert from raw so maybe I didn't help any. My feeble mind will have to do better in the future:rofl
