I've got a chance to buy a used 243T Samsung monitor for around $800. Is it worth it? Its been on display for over a year in the local store but I can buy a 2 year warranty for $70. Do you guys think it's worth this much and if so how long are monitors like this expected to last?
thanks for your input, Chris

Considering that store display models usually run 8 hours a day, the lamp could have already begun to lose some brightness. However, if it doesn't look like the monitor has been abused, the price is very nice for a 1920x1200 display.

Thanks CM for your reply. After looking I'm thinking of the Dell 2405FPW. Its near the same price but new and seems to get good reviews from the places I've visited. There is really not a lot to choose from in these bigger monitors for that price range. I got all excited when I found the Samsung in my local CompUSA store but the more I think about it the worse feeling I get.
Thanks again, Chris

I'm using this one (http://us.acer.com/acereuro/page4.do?dau22.oid=13575&UserCtxParam=0&GroupCtxParam=0&dctx1=25&CountryISOCtxParam=US&LanguageISOCtxParam=en&crc=292978189) and very happy with it.
