I'm trying to figure out what kind of memory I need for a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ30CGP purchased late 2003. It has P4HT 3.0 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM (I believe PC3200 400MHz).
How do I know if this is the type RAM I have without cracking the box? Anyway to know if all the slots are already full without cracking the box? And to you still need to add two of the same cards at a time when upgrading?

Crucial is excellent. So is Mushkin. I use both.

youll notice a big diff when you open programs like photoshop and viewing images. it renders much quicker. but overall websurfing, probably not. :D

Crucial.com will tell you what kind of memory you need, and how much you can install when maxed out.
2Gb is better for PSCS2; it can use more, if your computer has slots for it.

Crucial was much more help than Sony. 2GB is the max for my machine - ordered and should be here Friday.
I'm feeling the computer bug again :wink but guess I'll hold off until the warranty expires

I guess I am probably late, but I use Mushkin in each machine. 2-2-2 timings if possible. Have used them since 97 I think without problems.
