DC, A break in the rain

Its been raining/overcast since last Sunday. Yesterday we finally got a break. First shot is from a Water Fowl Sanctuary looking towards DC.
Boosted colors in tree line only. Second shot is along the Potomac near Georgetown. Of course it rained today. We'll see what this week brings.

I like the second shot a lot. I managed to get a picture of a tree before leaving Woodbridge for the train yesterday. I watched the nice weather all the way home, til dark, of course.

It is gloomy here, my daughter told me it is gloomy there. I don't trust the weather people there, they kept telling me it was going to clear up "tomorrow" all last week, smile.

I want to come when you all are going to have snow, but I will never believe anyone. I guess the northeast is a mess, too.

Gorgeous shots. I do like the second one best, but then I would. That aside, I have seen a lot of the fall folliage here on dgrin, and that one is unique..........that is nice right there.
