How do I get rid of all the text in the footer such as the ability to order prints and rss feeds and replace it with the words "Caloosa Bird Club"?
I tried putting in #feeds { display:none} and that exact text appeared in my footer. Is that because I was logged in?

Hi, the code you want to use goes in to the CSS customization box, if your could read it it was probably placed in you footer.
Here's the code, don't forget semi-colons end your declarations
/* turn off the feeds on the mini-footer*/
#feeds { display: none; }
PS, please remember to place a link to your site when you post, makes it easier to help
cheers

:agree
Also, if you want to remove the cart link, add this:
.cartlink_footer {
display: none;
This also goes in the CSS box.
"Caloosa Bird Club" goes in your footer.

I don't understand removing the feeds. Are you trying to hide and make your site not so easy to find? Feeds are so today! Let your viewers, admirers, customers FIND YOU! EMBRACE THE FEEDS :D

No, in fact you've got white text on yellow, too, which is impossible to read. The green font you've got going on is too big, too bold and too bunched together.
Here's a good resource for you:

um, ok...i made some changes!
by the white, do you mean the hover color, or the color of my links at the bottom (the links at the bottom continue to be blue on my browser (IE6), which is a whole other problem!)

Good improvement. Now, re-do your banner so it isn't "fuzzy" it's very blurry/unsharp.

Getting there! You'll want to fix the width and position of your featuredBox
#featuredBox {
background-image:url(
http://www.smugmug.com/photos/65780445-M.jpg);
width:720px;padding:0px;
}
#featuredBox {
width: 720px;
margin-left: 20px;}
something like this, play with it

Someone's desiging with IE instead of firefox...:nono
Someone's desiging [truncating the last 'n' in design here is awkward. Using correct spelling will convey your displeasure much better..]with IE instead of firefox...:nono
fixed it for you mike.

guilty as charged:dunno
here's my question about firefox, etc. if my customers are all using IE, is it not better to design it the way they will be viewing it? or if i design it in firefox, will it look the same in IE too?
does that make sense?

Nope, firefox is becoming a big contender these days. Plus with IE7 looming just around the corner, you'll definitely want to have a page that is built in a modern browser (IE is not a modern browser) so you can make sure it works. Once you get it built to look right in good browsers, we can hack it to fix IE6's quirks.

i'm guessing the "oh god" is because you realized you haven't cut your toenails in awhile, or something of that nature....and not because my question was so moronic?
thanks for the info, that's the main reason i've not downloaded firefox yet! unfortunately, there are millions walking the street....completely unaware that their web browser is hopelessly sub par.
ain't it a shame?:cry.....:wave

The "oh god" was directed towards bigwebguy...
You really should download firefox. You're page is screwy in it. It's simple to get it right in firefox and then make it work in IE but nearly impossible to get it right in IE and make it work for firefox.
Just saying.
