I went to the Brookfield Zoo today and got a couple shot I liked. It was a lot harder shooting there than I thought it would be. Inside the animal houses it was almost pitch black and outside it can be hard to shoot through the fences and enclosures. All in all I think I did OK. What do you think?

The target is about 25 feet in the air

Yes that is a cup grasped in it's tail. People just don't understand what garbage cans are for.

I liked the look on her face

You have yourself some nice shots, Nick. :thumb Wow..Brookfield zoo. I have not been there since I moved to Florida (7yrs). I use to date a lady that lived in Riverside and she had a year pass. We would go all the time in the summer. Well..I'd visit her at the zoo anyway. :huh :uhoh :rofl JK.

That dolphin has somespring in it's tail. :huh I have not seen the dolphin jump that high in the wild. It is pretty cool to look at them eyeball to eyeball from a foot away.

Very nice series Nick. The lighting appears a little flat in a few, probably from the glass, perhaps a little contrast boost.

Nice work Nick. Most of them don't look like they were taken in a zoo.

Thanks for the comments guys. Mike the dolphins really seemed to be enjoying themselves. When they were in the holding areas before the show started they saw the handlers come out in their wet suits and knew it was showtime. They got excited and started splashing around.

Steve you're just never happy are you :moon. I already increased contrast a bit on all of them except for the wolf, saturation and contrast are something I'm just never sure about. Keep your comments coming Steve, I really appreciate them.

Harry I really like the wolf exhibit because it is pretty large and there are no manmade obstructions in it to get in the shots.

I think you did very well at the zoo Nick. The 4th is just great.

Love that fourth(i can't count) shot...gives the feel for what it must be like to be restrained in a zoo......................Mereimage

Thanks Dick. She (orangutang in shot 4) just sat there the entire time we walked through and was watching the people watch her. It was actually pretty funny.

Mereimage - The monkey (I should have written species down as I took shots) in the third shot was playing with the cup like it was a toy. People around me were oowing and awing at it playing with the cup. It was kind of sad that the zoo can be more of a circus at times than a conservation resource.
