On a whim, I planted a sunflower seed for Challenge 55 (New) resulting in this photo...

Three months later I have this giant sunflower growing which is over 8ft tall at this point. There is finally a bloom at the top! I was concerned it would just keep going. The power of DGrin!! That's my 8 year old son for some perspective.

That is one tall sunflower plant. I hope you'll take a photo of the bloom for us!

Wow, I wasn't sure you'd get a bloom at all. Congratulations! That's a cool shot!

My daughter has planted a garden for my grandson, so he's watching the life cycle right now. I know he wanted some tomatoes, but I'm not sure what else they planted besides corn and tomatoes!

Gee, makes me want to plant a sunflower seed!

Thanks for sharing the result!

Sunflower seed harvest today. Beautiful work by mother nature. My photo does not do it justice. Will eat most of them and save some to plant next year. My kids almost enjoyed this as much as I did!
