I'm pretty new to adjusting shots with my paint shop, but here's one of my examples. Any pointers would be appreciated!

I might have tried to isolate the building from the shore...make it into two more detailed pix. Very nice though.:rofl

Have you fooled with layer masks yet? Try applying the adjustments you made, and then erase those adjustments from the sky so it doesn't get so bright. There's a great tutorial on this, it should come up if you search for layer masks.
Nice photo, I like the changes except for the sky itself. Post-processing is fun, eh? :wink

Looks great to me. I might not have cropped so close to the shore line, I think it might have kept some of the perspective but color looks great.
