First let me say that I love SMUGMUG and use for a lot of purposes.

I, though, just had trouble uploading some pictures. We are working in a depressed area in Huntsville to try to restore houses back to a liveable condition and we work there two days a week. After each day of working I post pictures taken during the day to record our progress. Yesterday (Thursday) I uploaded my pictures as normal, but found that only nine of the twelve uploaded. It tried several times and although they appeared to upload when I looked at the gallery they were not there. The specific gallery URL is as follows:

http://eworley.smugmug.com/gallery/1385598

which is a part of

Can you help me?

Thanks for your time in my behalf.

Hi Eugene,

Of course we'll help!

What uploader are you using, what type of internet connection, what browser, and what platform (Mac, PC, operating system).

What type of pics won't upload? What size are they, filesize?

In the meantime, here's a page that may help you also:

Uploader: Universal Drag and Drop (and that is what I did)
Internet Connection: DSL
Browser: FireFox
Platform: MacBookPro (Dual Core)
Operating System: OS 10.4.6
Type of Pics: jpeg
File Size: 148KB 1024x768 pixels

All the files that I tried to upload were of that same size. The first nine went through fine. All appeared to be uploaded only to find only nine on the site.

Thanks for your help.

Eugene

Thanks for your help.

Hi Eugene - I'd like you to check your connection. www.dslreports.com and register (free) then go to "tools" and "packet loss test." Run the test, and they give you a link which you can copy / paste here as a reply.

Your connection is wonderful :)

I'm sorry - I forgot about this:

Should do fine once you get this FF Java update.

You should also try uploading with Safari and the Universal D&D.

OK I am gladly going to do this, but I am somewhat confused for I could upload nine files. Then I could not even upload one file.

Will let you know the results, but now my wife and I are going out for supper.

Great. I know it's a pita, but in order to use FF with the Universal D&D on a Mac, you have to update that pesky Java stuff.

Or, you can just use Safari for uploads, no worries :D
